Tesla Model 3: Hose - Return - Powertrain (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the HV battery. See HV Battery (RWD) (Remove and Install).

Hose - Return - Powertrain (Remove and Replace)

  1. Release the clips (x5) that attach the powertrain return (lower) hose to the RH side of the HV battery, and remove the hose from the HV battery.
  2. Remove the plugs from the powertrain return hose, if installed.

Install

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

    Install Install the LH front upper control arm into the front upper control arm mount, and then install and hand-tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the control arm to the mount. Install the FUCA ride height tool onto the front upper control arm mount at the rear outer mounting hole.

    The Vehicle Certification label provides: GVWR - Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. The maximum allowable total mass of Model 3. This is calculated as the weight of Model 3, all passengers, fluids, and cargo.  GAWR FRT and GAWR RR - Gross Axle Weight Rating for the front and rear axles.
