Sensor - Airbag - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the front LH wheel arch liner. See Wheel Arch Liner - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).

Sensor - Airbag - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

  1. Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connector from the LH front airbag sensor.

Sensor - Airbag - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

  1. Remove the bolt that attaches the airbag sensor to the front end carrier, and then remove the sensor from the vehicle. Torque 8 Nm

Install

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

    Model 3 has several sensors designed to detect the presence of objects. When driving slowly in Drive or Reverse (for example, when parking), the sensors alert you if an object is detected in close proximity of your Model 3. Objects are only detected in the direction of the gear you selected;
