Tesla Model 3: Powertrain Coolant - Refill

Refill

  1. Remove the plugs from the hoses.

  Powertrain Coolant - Refill

  1. Connect the powertrain supply hose to the male fitting.

 Caution: Perform a push-pull test to verify that the hose is fully seated.

  1. Connect the powertrain return hose to the female fitting.

 Caution: Perform a push-pull test to verify that the hose is fully seated.

  Powertrain Coolant - Refill

  1. Install the lower clips (x3) that attach the lower rear edge of the RH wheel arch liner to the body.
  2. Install the front HV battery skid plate. See Skid Plate - HV Battery - Front (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the coolant drain from under the vehicle.
  4. Install the mid aero shield panel. See Panel - Aero Shield - Mid (Remove and Replace).
  5. Connect 12V power. See 12V Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  6. Perform a vacuum refill of the cooling system. See Cooling System (Vacuum Refill).

    Remove Open the hood. Release the clips (x12) that attach the rear underhood apron to the vehicle, and then remove the apron from the vehicle. Install Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

     Pedestrian Warning Speaker

    Speaker - Pedestrian Warning (Remove and Replace) Remove Remove the front fascia. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Install). Remove the screws that attach the pedestrian warning speaker assembly to the front fascia, and then remove the speaker from the fascia. Torque 1.8 Nm Install
