Tesla Model 3: Brake Caliper - Rear - LH - Install

Install

  Brake Caliper - Rear - LH - Install

  1. Install new bolts that attach the LH rear brake caliper bracket to the knuckle. Torque 83 Nm

  1. Install a new bolt and 2 new washers that attach the brake hose to the LH rear brake caliper. Torque 42 Nm
  2. Remove the oil drain from underneath the vehicle.
  3. Connect the electrical connector to the LH rear brake caliper.

  Brake Caliper - Rear - LH - Install

  1. Install the LH rear brake caliper electrical harness clips. Torque 5 Nm
  2. Lower the vehicle.
  3. Remove any wheel chocks, and then shift the vehicle into Park.
  4. Perform the bleed procedure for the LH rear brake caliper. See Brake Fluid Bleed - One Caliper.
  5. Install the LH rear wheel. See Wheel (Remove and Install).
  6. Install the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  7. Test drive the vehicle to confirm that the brake pedal feel is normal.
